We're going to organize a Residence for A\V Artists with the support of the Museum of Lava located on the volcano Etna (Viagrande).

10 sponsored participants. (5 audio artists + 5 video artists)

The first aim of the project is to let local and foreign artists work toghether on the assigned theme:

AetnA, the Volcano.

We will have at least 5 A\V couples (1 A\V couple -> 1 audio artist + 1 video artist). Each A\V couple will produce an audiovisual performance.

We will use both archive material coming from the museum collection (audio and video), and live recorded material taken during the excursion on the volcano (audio and video).

On the other hand we will edit a dvd master by the works produced by the Artists.

There could be the possibility to let other local artists to join the project for free.

Il nostro scopo è creare un Network di Artisti nell'ambito della produzione Audio/Video, che crei contenuti (Audio/Video), organizzando mostre e Residenze per Artisti.

C'è la possibilità che un progetto del genere venga finanziato, anche in parte, dalla EU.

Dopo aver creato questo Network disporremo di Nodi e di Nodi-Città.

Ogni membro costituirà un nodo, e i membri delle stesse città, e delle aree limitrofe ad esse costituiranno i Nodi-Città. Ogni nodo avrà la possibilità di interagire con gli altri membri del Network e proporre, da singolo o in collaborazione, la realizzazione di un evento presentando un'idea o un progetto, che coinvolga il bacino di utenza del Network stesso. Al fine di favorire il dialogo, tra le Azioni avranno precedenza quelle che coinvolgono più individui del NetWork.

I finanziamenti vengono dati per una ragione: creare scambi interculturali, quindi dialogo tra le culture.

Queste guide linea corrispondono perfettamente con la nostra iniziativa, che e' un ottimo esempio di azione per il dialogo.

Le modalità di conseguimento degli obbiettivi sarà supportata da diversi tipi di azioni:

- creazione di una piattaforma online per potere mostrare e gestire il Network attraverso strumenti quali il forum online e videoconferenze, se necesario.

- creazione di una serie di interventi itineranti sul territorio coperto dal Network.

- partecipare a festival internazionali dando pubblica visibilità al progetto, creando dei chioschi informativi per distribuire materiale promozionale ( chi siamo, cosa facciamo, cosa vogliamo fare, etc. )

- creare una collezione in dvd dei lavori prodotti durante gli eventi organizzati dal Network.

Our goal is to build an AudioVisual NetWorK, to produce contents, organizing Expositions and Residencies for Artists.

The NetWork itself will consist in many nodes and cities nodes, each node is a member, each city node is made by all the node of the same urban and peri-urban area.

Nodes can collaborate, interacting, in order to enhance the dialogue between the parts involved.

Projects can be submitted both by a single node or from a collaboration, among nodes. In this last case we will give a preference.

Joining the network and becoming a node will be free of costs.

There is the possibility to be sponsored from the EU for some expenses.

Objectives:

1) Create the NetWork.

2) Create an on-line platform to show and manage the AV-Network's activities, through the on-line forum and video conferencing (if needed).

3) Organizing events submitted by the members of the Network.

4) Attend international festival to promote the AV NetWork, with info kiosks to distribute promotional material.

5) Create a dvd collection of the events' organization.

Activities:

1) On-line Forum.

2) Round Tables.

3) Exhibitions.

4) Workshops.

5) Residencies for Artists.

6) Evaluating potential projects, coming from members' submissions.
